History


Code Blue Consulting is the consulting business of Code Blue Communications, Inc.

Founded in 2000 to bring practical wireless solutions to the medical device industry by Bill Saltzstein, Code Blue Communications provided value added products with Bluetooth wireless technology until 2006, when the distribution business was purchased by connectBlue, AB.

Since 2000 Code Blue has continuously provided consulting services to the medical device industry as outlined on our home page.

Bill’s experience


In 2000 Bill Saltzstein founded Code Blue Communications to bring Bluetooth wireless technology to vertical markets, primarily medical.

Prior to founding Code Blue Communications, Saltzstein served as Director of Advanced Development at Medtronic Physio-Control in Redmond, WA. Before joining Physio-Control, he led product and business development teams at Instromedix and Hewlett-Packard developing both diagnostic and interventional cardiology equipment. Bill also managed the early development of a revolutionary home safety product at LifeTone Safety.

Bill holds 24 patents associated with battery-powered portable medical devices, data and voice communications, and other technologies. His active professional memberships include Bluetooth SIG, AAMI, and IEEE.
